Champion 1 ship stranding accident circumstances discussed

Minister of Transport Waed Batheeb and Hardramout Governor Khaled al-Dini chaired a meeting Wednesday, to discuss a technical report on the stranding accident of the Champion 1 ship off coasts of Mukala. The report included the observations of the General Authority for Marine Affairs and the memorandum of the Ministry of Water and Environment and the technical team who examined the ship. On Tuesday, the Transport Minister signed a contract with a specialized foreign company for combating the pollution resulting from the leakage of Mazut from the stranded ship in the coasts of Mukala.
