Scores of children marched in Ramallah on Monday in solidarity with children of Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria, who are dying of starvation and live in difficult conditions due to a blockade imposed on the camp. The marchers carried banners and signs denouncing the ongoing blockade and calling for allowing the entry of food for the camp residents. At least 15 refugees have died so far from starvation since the Syrian army imposed a military blockade on the camp in September.President Mahmoud Abbas has dispatched several delegations to war-torn Syria in an effort to keep the refugee camps out of the internal conflict and to ask the armed groups in Yarmouk to leave the camp.He also ordered sending immediate food, medical and other humanitarian aid to the camp.
