China has called on all concerned parties to reach greater consensus during a meeting in Istanbul addressing the Iranian nuclear file. A Chinese delegation led by an official of the Department of Arms Control and Disarmament of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will attend the technical-level meeting between the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) and Iran, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said at a regular news briefing. Liu said the parties concerned will discuss some substantial issues on Iran's nuclear program "in an in-depth way" after the Moscow dialogue. "We hope that all the sides will enhance understanding on each other's stance, expand consensus and reduce differences through the meeting, and lay a sound foundation for a solution (to the Iranian nuclear issue) via follow-up dialogues," Liu added.
