China calls on Syria to 'honour commitments'

China on Wednesday called on Syria's government and opposition factions to honour their commitments, after the regime accepted a proposal crafted by Kofi Annan designed to end the bloody conflict. "We hope the Syrian government and relevant parties in Syria will honour their commitments," foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei told journalists at a regular briefing.
