
China's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Wednesday met with Jean-Marie Tassoua, president of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Congo. Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), lauded the smooth development of bilateral ties between the two countries in recent years, highlighting their mutual support for each other's core interests, fruitful economic cooperation and close coordination on regional and international affairs. China is willing to make joint efforts with the Republic of Congo and other African countries to boost practical cooperation and further cement the China-Africa friendship, Yu said. Tassoua said the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Congo will work together with its Chinese counterpart to make more contributions to the development of the bilateral relationship.
