Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhang Ming has praised the exceptional co-operation between China and the UAE, terming it ideal and successful.
In an interview with Emirates News Agency (WAM) in Paris, on the sidelines of a visit to the city, Ming said the leadership of both countries was determined to develop and strengthen bilateral ties in the political, economic, trade, industrial, cultural, investment and security fields.
The diplomatic relations between the two countries, which started in 1984, have ever since then witnessed remarkable development that is reflected in their bilateral relations, he said.
The relations between the countries, which developed in the last 33 years, sought to promote stability, peace, security and trade, he added.
The economic ties between China and the UAE are extremely advanced, he noted, adding that China is UAE's top trading partner, with Chinese companies implementing many huge investment projects in the UAE. The UAE also invested in China, he observed, while adding that flights linking Dubai to many Chinese cities had increased substantially.
China is calling on the UAE leadership and its people to intensify efforts and work together to achieve the best for the two countries, he said.
