
The Chinese embassy in Cairo announced in a statement an open competition to design a unique logo for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Egyptian diplomatic relations.
The theme of the logo should express the friendship and comprehensive strategic relations between the two countries, said the statement.
The logo design should be creative, unique and simple, with a resolution ration no less than 300DPI.
The contest is open for all Egyptians, both individuals or groups. The number of logo designs is also open for participants, while the deadline to submit the designs is May 20.
The designs are subjected to both the Chinese and the Egyptian laws, while the competition rules are only determined by the the Chinese embassy.
A paper copy of the design is to be sent to the following address: Information Office of Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Egypt, No. 14 Bahgat Aly St, Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt.
An electronic copy of the logo design, under the subject of "designer's name + logo design," is to be sent to the Chinese embassy through the following email address: china_egypt_logo@hotmail.com.
First winner gets a financial prize of 20,000 Egyptian pounds, two winners in the second place get 10,000 pounds each, five winners in the third place get 3,000 pounds each and 10 winners in the fourth place get 1,000 pounds each. (1 U.S. dollar = 8.88 Egyptian pound)
The designs will be judged by specialists determined by the embassy of China and the winners will be announced in a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary.
Egypt was the first Arab and African state to have established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China in 1965.
