Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived here Sunday for a visit to Brunei after attending a series of East Asian summit meetings held in Bali, Indonesia. He said in a speech delivered upon arrival at the airport that bilateral ties between China and Brunei have achieved profound development over the last two decades. The relationship between the two countries has featured a frequent exchanges of both high-level and civil visits, fruitful cooperation in every sector and coordination and cooperation on both international and regional issues. Deepening this friendly relationship in a changing and new context is in line with the fundamental interests of the two countries and their peoples and conducive to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region, Wen said. During his stay in Brunei, the Chinese premier will told talks with Brunei leaders to exchange views on how to further relations between the two countries.
