Israeli settlers Sunday set fire to dry grass in a Palestinian land in Bitillo, a village west of Ramallah, burning oak and forest trees, according to a statement by Civil Defense. It said in a statement that the fire trucks ran to the scene to put off the wild fires caused intentionally by Israeli settlers and which gutted oak and forest trees. Meanwhile, security sources told WAFA that settlers of illegal Tafuh settlement near Za’tara check point, south of Nablus, gathered near the settlement and the check point, closed the main road that leads to the town of Yasouf, east of salfit, prevented pedestrians from passing and attacked the Palestinian cars. To be noted, Israeli soldiers closed down Za’tara check point preventing Palestinians from passing under the pretext of looking for a “suspicious object.”
