A Colombian citizen has been arrested for a murder attempt on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Colombian police said Friday. "Convincing evidence made it possible to look into several accused crimes (conspiracy to commit crime, illegal possession of weapons)," said a police statement, adding the Colombian police shared and verified information with police of other nations that also want the suspect "for crimes of high complexity." Alejandro Caicedo, 21, has a criminal record that includes drug trafficking activities, murder and conspiracy, and he also has "situations to clarify before different judges in Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia and Colombia," the statement added. The other two suspects involved in the case had already been captured in Venezuela.
