Conference of Islamic affairs council kicks off in Cairo

The 27th international conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs kicked off here on Saturday under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The two-day event will tackle means of countering terrorism and extremism, as well as the role played by political, parliamentary and religious leaders to promote peace among peoples.
A communique will be released on promoting peace and eliminating terrorism.
Participants will also be given a sightseeing tour of Islamic and Coptic sites.
