Contact with the Mi-8 helicopter that was on a flight from the Tomsk Region to Yugra is re-established, a source at the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass. The helicopter crew is in contact again. There were no emergencies, the source said. Why the contact was lost is not known so far. The Khanty-Mansi regional emergencies department’s crisis management centre received information at 09:36 on Saturday that contact was lost with the helicopter. After the alarming report, a Mi-8 helicopter in Nizhnevartovsk and an An-26 plane in the Tomsk Region were sent to examine the territory in search of the missing helicopter. The Mi-8 is on a flight from Vasyugana, the Tomsk Region, to Taurovo, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. Ten people are aboard.
