The Communist Party of China (CPC) and political parties from European countries will continue to discuss China-Europe cooperation in various areas and to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership. Huang Huaguang, spokesman for the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC made the remarks Tuesday, announcing that the second session of the second China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum is scheduled from November 7 to 9 in Belgium's capital, Brussels. The theme of the forum will be "China's 12th Five-Year Plan and Europe 2020 Strategy: New Ideals and Acts for China-Europe Cooperation." Delegates from China and European countries will discuss various issues, including the economy and trade, social construction and global economic governance. A high-level delegation from the CPC, and leaders from European political parties, will attend the three-day meeting. The first session of the second China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum was held in May in Beijing and the northern port city of Tianjin. The forum, considered an important platform for Chinese and European leaders to exchange views on development ideas and goals, is designed to enhance mutual trust and cooperation between China and Europe.
