Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic on Friday said Croatia was moving on to "plan C" to deal with the refugee crisis after Hungary announced the closure of its border with Croatia.
Plan C meant that Croatia, in agreement and close coordination with Slovenia, would transport refugees to Slovenia through two border crossings in northern Croatia, according to Ostojic.
On Friday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced his country was closing down its border with Croatia at midnight on Friday.
By Friday, around 186,000 refugees had passed through Croatia since mid-September.
There are 700 migrants stationed at the Opatovac reception centre, eastern Croatia, near the border with Serbia, Ostojic said.
