Croatia sends police boat to help rescue migrants

Croatia on Friday sent a police patrol boat to Greek waters to join in a joint operation of rescuing migrants, the Croatian News Agency Hina reported.
Croatia planned to send a total of 37 police officers this year in the operation, called "Poseidon Sea 2015 " which involved 16 EU countries and Albania, Ukraine, the report said.
Croatia has been engaged in the "Poseidon Sea" mission since 2012, mainly doing humanitarian work and assistance to immigrants who were entering Greece from Turkey.
Croatia has rescued 1,000 migrants in the central Mediterranean where it joined in the TRITON 2015 operation rescuing migrants, according to the report.
