Two dozen Czech police have left for Slovenia on Friday to participate a border patrol mission.
They are the third batch of police sent by Czech Republic to guard the Schengen Area borders, according to spokesman for the police presidium David Schoen.
They will be staying in Slovenia for six weeks and replace the second batch of Czech police, who left for their mission on Dec. 15, 2015. The first group of Czech police left to guard the Slovenian-Croatian border on Nov. 9, 2015.
The police are deployed in the vicinity of the Dobova and Obrezje towns in mixed patrols under the command of their Slovenian colleagues.
Schoen said they will guard the border, perform security checks of migrants arriving in Slovenia and accompany trains with migrants along the Slovenian-Austrian border. Enditem
