Musa Islalov, a depuy to the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, has been wounded in Khasavyurt. An official at the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass, "At about 22:00, Moscow time, on Tuesday, two unidentified gunmen, firing from a pistol, wounded the parliamentarian in the leg on Nekrasov Street, and fled". According to a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies, the attackers were extorting money from the parliamentarian and after he refused to give it, applied the firearm against him. An investigation group is at work at the scene of the incident, taking measures to identify and apprehend the assailants.
