Advisor to Egypt's mufti Ibrahim Negm on Monday said the four-day visit, currently being paid, by Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic comes within a strategy to build bridges of communication with the muftis around the world, achieve the Egyptian leadership in the deployment of true religion of Islam, confront extremism and spread peace throughout the world.
Egypt's grand mufti is keen to share experience and expertise in the face of extremism and abnormal thoughts with muftis and religious bodies in the various countries, he added in a statement.
The statement said that Kavazovic would meet with his Egyptian counterpart Shawqi Allam, Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayeb, Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, President of Al Azhar University Ibrahim al Hodhod and several Egyptian official.
Those meetings will deal with ways to strengthen religious cooperation between Bosnia and Egypt, reviewing recent developments in the Islamic world, and making benefit from Egypt's Dar al-Iftaa expertise and experience in the face of extremism and terrorism.
