Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey sees Syrian Circassians' problems as its own problems. Davutoglu said "We hope you will go back to your houses when the peace and stability has been reached inSyria. You should know that Turkey is your home, we are your family." Davutoglu spoke during the visit from a group consisting of Circassian Rights Initiative, Federation of the Caucasian Associations, and Solidarity Committee of WorldCircassians which also include Syrian Circassians. During the visit, ?smet Jerashu, one of the Syrian Circassians, thanked Davutoglu for Turkey’s support and told they would never forget the favour that Turkish people did for them. "It is our duty to help you. We may have borders between our countries. However, we have no borders between our hearts. Your pain is our pain" Davutoglu replied. Syrian Circassians had been brought to Turkey via Lebanon and placed in Nizip sheltering centers.
