Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stressed that his country will never abandon the Palestinian people and will continue supporting their cause until they set up their independent state with Al-Qud (East Jerusalem) as its capital. Davutoglu, speaking at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, underlined the importance of applying the two-state solution to bring about a just and comprehensive peace in the region, according to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday. The OIC meeting aims at demonstrating Muslim world's support for the Palestinian people and collecting money from donors to develop al-Quds city. He urged the OIC to work harder so that Palestine would be recognized as a full member in the United Nations and to largely contribute to the Palestinian economy
