Diplomatic, media mission heads for Doha Wednesday

A diplomatic and media mission will head for the Qatari capital of Doha on Wednesday to attend the 24th ordinary Arab summit, to be held in Qatar on March 26-27. The mission includes Arab League (AL) officials, diplomats and a number of reporters and media people. The preparatory meetings will start as of Thursday with a meeting of the Economic and Social Council at the level of senior officials, an official source at the AL told MENA on Tuesday. The source said the council meeting will be followed by a preparatory get-together by the AL Council at the level of permanent delegates on Saturday. The summit will discuss a number of issues including the Syrian crisis, the Palestinian cause as well as the development of the pan-Arab organization and the economic file, according t the source.
