
An army force discovered on Wednesday 15,Jan. an underground tunnel linking Iraq to Syria used by militants to smuggle weapons and fighters between the two countries.A security source told / NINA / that a military force destroyed the tunnel to prevent infiltration and transfer of arms and smuggling gunmen between the two countries.On the other hand, a meeting held today between the commanders of the island and the desert and Anbar operations discussing the re-deployment of troops along the Iraqi-Syrian border within Anbar province sector.The security source said that the three military leaderships prepared a plan to prevent the entry of the militants from Syria to Iraq, especially after the losses that Daash forces had suffered in a number of areas in Syria and the attempt of its elements to escape to Iraq.
