White House National Security Adviser Tom Donilon held discussions with top Russian officials in Moscow on Monday on the full range of bilateral and global issues in preparation for the meeting between President Barck Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the margins of the G8 Summit and a U.S.-Russia bilateral summit in September, the White House announced. Donilon met with Putin, UN Security Council Secretary General Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Yuri Ushakov, U.S. National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said in the announcement. The discussions were "comprehensive and constructive," Hayden said.
