Spokesman of Dostor Party Khaled Dawoud identified the man who attacked and stabbed him on Friday. The attacker was arrested as a suspect and was held in custody for 15 days pending probe. Dawoud was being questioned by the prosecution about the attack and allowed him to see the suspect. Dawoud identified him immediately, saying he was his stabber. The prosecution decided to further remand the suspect in custody. Dawoud told the prosecution that he was driving his car on Friday in Downtown Cairo near a march organized by Muslim Brotherhood members but when they saw him swore at him and called him names. He then drove to the nearby Abul-Reesh Bridge but found it blocked. The MB marchers surrounded his car, destroyed it and beat him up. One of them stabbed him several times with a knife, Dawoud said.
