The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Thursday accused some South Korean officials of trying to make inter-Korean relations "irreversible" by seeking "strengthened cooperation over the nuclear issue" with the United States against the DPRK.
The official daily Rodong Sinmun (Labor Daily) said the chief of the South Korean presidential security office and U.S. White House security advisers recently met in Washington "to stage the anti-DPRK confab."
The chairmen of joint chiefs of staff of the two countries also recently discussed "counteraction" against the DPRK over the phone. Besides, South Korea is launching a diplomatic offensive in some Asian countries to seek support over the DPRK nuclear issue, the newspaper said.
"The sinister intention of the puppet group of traitors is aimed to make the inter-Korean relations that they deteriorated irrecoverable after the regime change in South Korea," it said.
The DPRK has intensified warnings against the United States and South Korea over a possible outbreak of war because of the ongoing large-scale joint military exercises by Washington and Seoul.
