DPRK parliament session to be held on Sept. 25

A new session of the parliament of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Supreme People's Assembly(SPA), will be held in Pyongyang on Sept. 25, the official KCNA news agency reported on Wednesday. The decision to hold the sixth session of the 12th SPA was made by the SPA Presidium on Monday, said the report. Legislators have been informed to register for the event on Sept. 23-24, it added. In April this year, the fifth session of the 12th SPA was convened, during which DPRK top leader Kim Jong Un was named first chairman of the National Defense Commission, the country's top military organ.
