The 136th ordinary session of Arab League Council at the level of the Arab Foreign Ministers, which begins tomorrow, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, will discuss more than 20 items on its agenda related to the overall development of the situation in the Arab region including the Palestinian cause. The Arab Ministerial council will discuss draft resolutions on these issues put forward by the permanent delegates. The referred draft resolutions highly appreciated the relentless efforts made by Qatar towards the issues of joint Arab action, and the efforts of the State of Qatar in support of the Palestinian cause through the Arab Peace Initiative Committee, as well as its efforts to support the Sudan and its endeavors that culminated by the Doha Document to bring about peace and stability to Darfur, as well as its support to the Comoros, welcoming in this regard Qatar''s roles in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Arab League to implement the outcomes and commitments of the Arab Conference for Investment and Development in the Republic of the Comoros. The draft resolutions also welcomed Qatar''s mediation to peacefully end the dispute between the republics of Djibouti and Eritrea and to restore the situation in the Ras Domira and Domira Island to what it had been before February 4, 2008. They highly valued the efforts of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in the signing of agreement between Djibouti and Eritrea, expressing the hope to see this development bringing positive impact on the situation in the Horn of Africa.
