
Egyptian Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati and Belarus Natural Resources and Environment Protection Minister Andrei A. Ravkov signed on Monday a memo of understanding for the rational use of water resources and protection.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the current two-day visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Egypt and his talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over boosting bilateral cooperation.
The memo includes 13 spheres of cooperation to benefit from the Belarus expertise, especially in the flooding, early warning, drainage treatment and other domains.
The Belarus side promised to grant several scholarships to young engineers of the Water Resources Ministry in the various domains.
