
Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Sunday with visiting Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and her accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by the Chinese ambassador to Egypt.
Ismail called on Chinese businessmen to pump more investments in Egypt in the coming period.
He hailed an initiative floated by China to offer scholarships to Egyptian students over the coming five years.
He also invited Chinese tourists to visit Egypt in the coming period.
Liu, for her part, praised Egyptian-Chinese relations in all fields.
China is keen on increasing cooperation with Egypt in all domain, especially in the educational sector, she noted.
She revealed an invitation to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to participate in the meeting of the G20, scheduled to be held in China in September.
