Egypt shares a common stance with France regarding the Syrian crisis and both countries urge an immediate halt for the bloodshed in Syria, according to Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr. "The solution to the crisis in Syria should be a political one, which guarantee the integrity of the Syrian territories", the top Egyptian diplomat said in an interview with Monte Carlo Radio during his visit to Paris. Speaking about Mali, Amr said "Egypt is ready to support reconstruction efforts in Mali", adding that al-Azhar will attempt to introduce the moderate Islam and the real Islamic teachings in the war-ravaged country. The Egyptian minister described his visit to France as "fruitful", citing the "close" ties between the two countries. During his stay in France, Egypt' FM tackled Egyptian and regional files with French President Francois Hollande, his counterpart Laurent Fabius, and a number of government officials.
