An Egyptian judge ordered Thursday a travel ban on ousted President Mohamed Morsi and eight former and incumbent MPs on charges of insulting the judiciary authority. In a press statement, Justice Tharwat Hamad said the defendants included also Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party, of the Muslim Brotherhood, and former parliament speaker Saad Al-Katatni and former supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohammad Mahdi Akef. It also included Al-Wasat Party Deputy Chairman and former MP Essam Sultan as well as Law Professor and Independent Shura Council Member Mohammad Gamal Gebriel. Justice Hamad ordered the start of the investigations with defendants next Monday. Security Forces have already arrested ex-parliament speaker Al-Katatni and former Brotherhood leader Akef. Meanwhile, Cairo Prosecution has also ordered the arrest of current Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohmmad Badie, his deputies and several other group members on charges of instigating the killing of protesters in front of the group's headquarters last week.
