Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil held with the head of the international fairs in Italy talks on boosting cooperation in the field of organizing joint exhibitions.
The talks aimed at benefiting from the Italian expertise in such field and using the cutting-edge technology in the construction sector in Egypt.
Qabil said the Trade Ministry had an ambitious plan to develop the fair system, and make Egypt a major hub for organizing international fairs and conferences, stressing the importance of expanding the existing partnership between the Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) and its Italian counterpart, to include other sectors such as the construction materials, especially amid promising opportunities for many sectors.
The minister pointed out that a deal has been reached to hold a huge exhibition for processed agricultural materials in Cairo in July in cooperation between Egypt and Italy.
