Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said Wednesday it is important to boost economic relations with Ireland.
With the volume of trade exchange standing at about 350 million euros, Egypt and Ireland have a good chance to increase inter-trade counting on a government plan to lure new investments, a statement by the Trade and Industry Ministry said.
Meeting with a delegation of the Irish parliament earlier today, Qabil discussed cooperation with Dublin to develop the different industrial sectors and attract businesses.
The minister told the Irish MPs that Egypt has taken serious steps toward achieving political and economic stability with the aim to regain its position on the global economic map.
He touched upon mega projects implemented by the government, such as the New Suez Canal and the administrative capital, with the aim to achieve comprehensive development.
