
Egypt offered a cardiac catheterization device to an Ethiopian hospital during a celebration Monday.
The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development delivered the device to Black Lion Hospital, the largest general hospital in Addis Ababa, during a celebration that was attended by prominent Egyptian cardiothoracic surgeon Sir Magdy Yacoub, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Later in the day, Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development Hazem Fahmy will attend another event to deliver an Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) unit to St. Paul's Hospital in Addis Ababa.
The medical team accompanying Dr. Yacoub and another team specialized in gastrointestinal endoscopes will examine patients and perform surgeries on a number of Ethiopian patients.
