Egypt's prosecution issued Wednesday an arrest warrant for the Muslim Brotherhood's top leader over charges of inciting violent clashes at the Republican Guard House, official MENA news agency reported. Besides Mohamed Badei, the warrant also includes Essam al-Erian, deputy chief of the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, Islamic preacher Safwat Hegazy, and nine others. On Monday, at least 51 people were killed in clashes between the Egyptian army and supporters of the ousted President Mohamed Morsi outside the Republican Guards House complex. The Egyptian army said that the killings were provoked by the deposed president's supporters who attacked the military premise by using live ammunition.
