Egypt participates in meetings of COMESA FMs in Addis Ababa

Egypt has taken part in the meetings of foreign ministers of Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) held here under the rubric "comprehensive and sustainable manufacturing".
The Egyptian delegation is led by Deputy Foreign Minister Hamdi Loza.
Egypt's participation in the meeting that started Saturday achieved a tangible success, according to a statement by the Egyptian embassy here Sunday.
Egypt was selected in the COMESA board of trustees along with Zimbabwe and Uganda, the statement said.
The meetings took up the political and security developments in COMESA and efforts exerted to achieve peace and stability in the region, the statement added.
The meetings also reviewed programs adopted by the COMESA to achieve goals including trade for peace and reconstruction after the end of disputes, the statement pointed out.
The gatherings also tackled COMESA efforts to face terror, lauding Egypt's efforts in this respect.
