Egypt's Interim President Adly Mansour stated Saturday that his country is undergoing a phase of ideological, social and economic shift. In a speech read out on his behalf by his Scientific Advisor Essam Haji during a conference for Egyptian scientists who moved to the United States and Canada, Mansour urged all Egyptian scientists and scholars to unite to help their country eradicate poverty, illiteracy and diseases. He underlined that the Egyptian government offers all support to scientists and researchers in all domains. A galaxy of leading Egyptian professors and lectures at US and Canadian universities and academies are contributing to the conference which will discuss over 60 research papers on key issues relative to development in Egypt such as economic growth, education, scientific research finance, energy and the development of the Sinai Peninsula.
