Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar underscored the necessity of continuing support for Africa through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Such support will enable Africa to implement key projects in line with the African Union's Agenda 2063, Abdel Ghaffar said during the 201st session of UNESCO Executive Board, in which he is participating as the chairman of the Egyptian National commission for UNESCO.
Delivering Egypt's speech Tuesday at the session held in Paris, the minister noted that the only African nominee for UNESCO chairperson is Egypt's Moshira Khattab.
In this regard, he pointed to Khattab's great experience at the national and international levels, commending her capabilities and vision for the future of Africa.
