Egypt's Foreign Ministry has reiterated its warning to its citizens, hoping to immigrate to Lebanon and Turkey from Jordan, to refrain from illegally entering Syria. Foreign Ministry Amr Rushdi spokesman expressed his surprise at such illegal attempts despite repeated warnings issued by the ministry and Egypt's embassies in Damascus and Amman of the dire consequences of illegally crossing the Syrian border which has resulted in the death and injuries to a number of Egyptians. Egypt's Embassy in Istanbul had repatriated eight Egyptians who had been detained for illegally entering Turkey with the hope of migrating to Europe from there, Rushdi added.
