
Cairo welcomes all initiatives for promoting tourism, Egypt's top aviation official said on Sunday.
During an event held to mark the arrival of a flight of Germany's Lufthansa at Cairo International Airport, Civil Aviation Authority head Hani el-Adawi said the ministry and its affiliate companies seek new horizons for exchanging views and proposals with world players in the aviation sector.
He said the civil aviation domain is one of the main foundation of the world economy.
The minister thanked and appreciated Lufthansa's step which proves support for Egypt and cooperation in all fields to serve the Egyptian and Germany interests.
Adawi lauded as close the relations between Cairo and Berlin, saying they are based on mutual confidence.
He hailed Lufthansa as one of the top airlines in the world.
