Head of the Egyptian Center for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) Mohamed Ibrahim Shaker will participate in a meeting organized by the European Union on the situation in Syria.
The event will be held on Monday in the Belgian capital of Brussels.
Speaking to MENA, Shaker said the meeting is to get acquainted with viewpoints of foreign and Arab institutes regarding the Syrian crisis.
"The political solution is the best for the Syrian crisis," he said, ruling out the possibility of adopting the military solution in the country.
The war in Syria has been going on for almost four years now.
The fighting started in 2011 after protests against the way President Bashar al Assad was running the country.
