Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Amr Helmy said that the Egyptian Embassy in Rome will hold a conference on February 9 on cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP).
This comes in the framework of the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to expand implementing the nutrition program for the students of the primary schools.
Helmy said that the conference will witness the participation of the donor countries to shed light on the success achieved due to the cooperation between Egypt and the WFP over the past years, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
About 400,000 students and their families will be provided meals in number of governorates, the diplomat underscored.
The program will focus on providing the food stuff in 15 governorates, Helmy reiterated, adding that this will prevent students from leaving schools especially females.
