Egyptian eminent figures congratulate Kuwait on National days

A number of Egyptian journalists, intellectuals and politicians congratulated Kuwait's leadership, government and people on the country's National and Liberation Days, wishing Kuwait continuous prosperity under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In remarks to KUNA, they praised the prominent role of Kuwait in all fields in the Arab and Islamic worlds and the world. Chairman of Freedom Egypt Party, political science professor at Cairo University, Dr. Amr Hamzawy said "Our congratulations go to the State of Kuwait, which occupies a dear place in the hearts of everyone in the Arab World for its various developmental and multi-cultural contributions." Columnist Salah Issa wished Kuwaitis to achieve everything they look forward to accomplishing; expressing confidence that Kuwait remains a leading democratic state and a beacon of culture and knowledge in the region that is able to overcome all difficulties. For his part, Wasat Party Chairman Abou Elela Mady congratulated Kuwait on the national days and expressed his appreciation and admiration for its and its people's humanitarian role in all parts of the world. Dr. Ahmed Mujahid, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, stressed that "No one can overlook Kuwait's cultural, cognitive and enlightening role of excellence, referring to Al-Arabi Magazine, "Al-Arabi Al-Saghir," or "The Young Arab," Al-Arabi book as well as "The World of Knowledge Series," stating that these cultural contributions represent distinct diplomatic missions in Kuwait. Meanwhile, Abdulghaffar Shokr, head of the Popular Socialist Coalition Party, stressed Kuwait's political openness that it has been witnessing for more than half a century, succeeded in providing an advanced model in the democratic practice, expressing his belief that it is a guarantor of the continued progress in the future. For her part, Fathia Al-Assal lauded the humanitarian role of Kuwait, which emerged to lend a helping hand to foreign and developing countries through several institutions, including the Kuwait Fun for Arab Economic Development (KFAED). Afro-Asian Writers Organization (AAWO) Chairman Mohammad Majdi Morjan said "Kuwait and Egypt share tight bonds as Kuwait's national days are as important to us as they are to Kuwaitis, and we are honored that our country took part in the liberation."
