The Egyptian-European Council has praised the positive remarks by Swiss Ambassador in Cairo Markus Leitner on conditions in Egypt.
The Swiss ambassador termed as "good" the security situation in Egypt, noting that 30,000 Swiss tourists are currently visiting despite the ban imposed by several countries on travel to Cairo in the wake of the Russian plane crash in Sharm El Sheikh.
President of the Egyptian-European Council Mohammad Abul Enein asserted that such remarks are very positive for the Egyptian tourism movement and could help lure more foreign tourists to Egypt.
Abul Enein also praised the Swiss ambassador's expectations that Egypt could be a major economy if its wealth is actually utilized and would lead to big economic progress over the coming four years at the most.
