Egyptian FM calls for moves to end Israeli practices in Quds

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry called on Thursday for international moves to end serious Israeli practices in the holy city of Al Quds.
Addressing the second meeting of the delegation representing the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation Contact Committee on Palestine, Shoukry, currently in Moscow on a visit to Russia as part of a tour, expressed all Arab countries' rejection of Israeli settlement and land confiscation policies in Quds.
He warned of the seriousness of the continued Israeli practices aiming at changing the features of the holy city.
Shoukry lauded the Russian support of the Palestinian issue, calling for activating the role of the international Quartet within the coming period.
He also urged resuming peace talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides based on agreed-upon references to set up an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.
The OIC Contact Committee delegation, led by Shoukry, includes the OIC chief, the Palestinian and Guinean foreign ministers and the Azeri ambassador in charge of Al Quds file.
