Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Kamel Amr will embark on a week-long tour of six Nile Basin countries . The tour starting on January 7 will take Amr to Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Rwanda. Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Nile Basin State Affairs Magdi Amer said that communications between Cairo and the six capitals are ongoing to arrange for the tour and talks Amr will hold with his respective counterparts. Amer further said that Nile Basin is the foremost point of interest for Egyptian foreign policy after January 25 Revolution. Amer added that Kamel Amr''s tour isn''t the first of its kind as former Primer Minister Essam Sharaf had a similar one when he visited Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda.
