
Egyptian forces secured the parameters of Luxor International Airport after foiling an attempt by supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi to storm the building. According to the Middle East News Agency (MENA), security forces prevented protesters from storming into the airport, setting checkpoints on the parameters of the building and boosting security arrangement within the building. Pro-Morsi supporters are rallying throughout the city of Luxor, known for its tourism and historical sites, condemning the "military coup" as they say and calling for the return of the ousted President. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, Wednesday, delivered a speech at a military graduation ceremony, calling for rallies to give the army a mandate to counter "violence and terrorism." On their part, the national coalition in support for Sharia called on their part for similar rallies in support of ousted President Morsi.
