
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry had a phone call Tuesday with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the latest regional developments especially the situation in Syria.
Both sides asserted the importance of commitment to ceasefire in Syrian especially during the holy month of Ramadan to provide protection for civilians and facilitate delivering aid supplies to them, Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The call also tackled the latest developments of the Palestinian cause in light of the outcome of the last Paris meeting, the spokesman said.
Lavrov lauded the call launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on reaching a final solution for the Palestinian-Israeli dispute along with just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian cause.
