Egyptian-German ties are "very good" at all levels, whether in the foreign, economic, cultural or educational spheres, said the German Regional Director for the Near and Middle East at the German Foreign Office.
Philipp Ackermann received Thursday 75 top Egyptian students of this year's Thanawya Amma (main secondary stage), in the presence of Egypt's Ambassador here Badr Abdel Aati.
The German official, in statements to MENA after the meeting, said the Egyptian students got acquainted with Germany's foreign policy in addition to the good bilateral relations binding Berlin and Cairo.
Egypt is a key strategic partner for Germany in the Middle East, Ackermann noted.
The Egyptian Embassy in Berlin will organize a reception for the Egyptian students later in the day.
