Egyptian interior ministry denies prisoners hunger strike

An Egyptian interior ministry official denied circulating reports that 170 prisoners supporting deposed president Mohamed Morsy have went into a hunger strike. Assistant minister of interior for the prison service sector Maj. Gen. Mustafa Baz denied the news. He said there aren’t any hunger strikes in any of the country’s prisons. Social networking and internet websites earlier reported that 170 prisoners supporting the deposed president have started a hunger strike.
